Phoenix Female Entrepreneurs: Tips for Success

As Phoenix female entrepreneurs, it is important to always be looking to learn and increase your knowledge of managing your own business. That being said, here are a few tips to help make sure your business is running smoothly and you’re covering that bottom line!

The first tip is to stick it through the hard times. Many entrepreneurs, and many who are simply doing something new, will fail at least once. When starting to manage your own business, it is an exciting time that can easily become discouraging when things start to get really tough. Stick it through those tough times and the reward will be even greater.

Try to manage your physical and emotional energy rather than your calendar. Because it is simple to take an agenda and block out times for meetings, family, and tasks, it becomes the method used to set goals and plan. However, just because you’ll have time from 11 PM – 12:30 AM does not mean you will have the energy if you have been working all day. Make sure your goals are feasible by planning using energy, not time.

On the note of planning, ensure that you have a flexible plan. Don’t waste your time (or energy) by planning every detail three months in advance. Rather, plan the general big move events three months out, specific events with some details a month out, and extremely detailed and specific goals for the next two weeks. This will ensure you are on top of the day to day while having a big picture to work toward while also being able to be flexible when things change.

Lastly, as Phoenix female entrepreneurs, don’t feel the need to reinvent any wheels. If there is a successful business model, a great tool, or good advice, be sure to welcome it. As an entrepreneur it can be easy to want to pave the trail, but your business can go further with the help of other successful people.
